This&nbsp;<br>includes the freedom to express views that are critical of those in&nbsp;<br>positions of authority, whether at the institution itself, or in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Democratic rights also include the right to work in a dignified&nbsp;<br>workplace, free of discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">These rights extend not only to students, and academic workers but to&nbsp;<br>all workers in the institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">We recognize that academic institutions are only a microcosm of broader&nbsp;<br>society and should be no more privileged than other institutions.
